About Me

I have lived in Hay-on-Wye for well over thirty years, ever since I moved down south from Scotland with my two young sons, then of primary school age.  My daughter was born here. Hay is a special and close-knit community; I feel grateful that my steps led me here.

I have owned these two riverside houses since they were built in 2010.

I love the ease, warmth and spaciousness of the houses, and also their location. I find the sound and sight of the river therapeutic; the horse chestnuts planted in Queen Victoria’s time awe inspiring; the birdsong precious.  We are in the heart of Hay yet could be in the middle of the countryside.

I hope you enjoy your stay in Hay, however short or long, and will want to return.

    Perfect townhouse for 2 couples and 2 night rest day on Offa’s dyke Trail. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture, lovely deck, and comfy beds. Communication was excellent and check in and out easy. Loved the washing machine and drying rack. Great location set back from Main Street, but very close to town and co-op market. Thoughtful furniture and great layout.
